Petroleum Consumption Degenerate Brain Cells
After getting several requests to provide additional information on my post, “BHT, BTA and BHA are Carcinogenic Preservatives in Cereal”, I did additional research to explain, “How Petroleum Products Degenerate the Brain and Promote Cancer Growth”
BHT, BTA and BHA are petroleum based products that are used in various degrees in the foods you eat as well as in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. In addition to consuming petroleum from these sources, you are also absorbing it through skin contact as well as absorption into food products that have been packaged in plastics. Additionally, using plastic containers in the microwave allows petroleum to leach into you food as well. In other words, your consumption of petroleum is far greater than you might have initially imagined. Before going further, take a moment to think about all the various ways you may have consumed some form of petroleum today.
What are some minerals in petroleum that you are absorbing?
Some minerals in petroleum that you are absorbing that could be in excess of what the body needs are: magnesium, mercury, sulfur, iron and copper to name a few. Magnesium, iron and copper are trace minerals found mainly (not exclusively) in vegetables. these minerals are needed by the body for function properly. However, in excess, these minerals pose health problems and are toxic. For the purpose of this article, I will mention cancer, but address the adverse effects on the brain. These minerals in excess can cause: depression, memory loss, Alzheimer’s, dementia, learning disabilities and a host of other debilitating brain related dysfunctions.
How do these minerals in excess cause brain degeneration and debilitating diseases?
According to Dr. Neal Barnard who wrote, “Protect Your Memory”, iron and copper are two of the main culprits causing memory loss. He gives examples of both of these minerals rusting.
For example, cast iron skillets if left in the rain will rust. A copper penny and copper pipes also rust. The skillet, penny and pipes not only rust, but the pieces of these minerals actually break off as tiny particles. In the case of the copper pipes, these pieces often break off and cause corrosion over time from the mixing with water. Just like these minerals oxidize in these examples, they also oxidize in your body causing a need for an increase in “anti-oxidants”.
With the push for an increase in eating more fresh fruits and vegetables, the consumer has increased the consumption of dried fruits and vegetables out of convenience. However, the majority of commercially dried produce uses sulfur as a preservative which when combined with the copper minerals found in the petroleum products causes corrosive activities in the body.
These corrosive activities depletes the body of needed oxygen which leads to degeneration of the brain cells, a lowered immune system and an environment within the body that is more susceptible to cancer. The sulfur (sulfur dioxide) has been linked to respiratory problems and was especially noticed in asthmatic children.
Preventing excessive absorption and detoxing the body of the excess minerals.
It is important to read the labels of dried produce to see if it says, “sulfur free”. Sulfur free produce should be kept in the refrigerator and will keep for approximately one (1) year.
Taking clay baths (calcium montmorillonite)”living clay” pulls the impurities out of the body. Ah, unable to take a clay bath? How about creating an organic garden so you can play in the soil? No garden, get organic soil and create a foot bath and sit with your feet in the foot bath and your hands in clay pots filled with organic soil. Native Americans would call this, “becoming one with Mother Earth”.
What are some herbs for detoxing?
Cilantro not only kills salmonella, but it has the ability to pull toxic minerals from the body. Dandelion weeds; yes those little yellow flowers you generally kill in your grass can be eaten to detox. They are know to have diuretic properties and will purge the system. Parsley is very rich in chlorophyll which makes it another great detoxing aid. Other detoxing aids are: wheat grass, kelp, chlorella, milk thistle and burdock.
